You are going to hire a wide variety of team members to help you develop your project.  Below is a listing of the typical team members.

• Zoning Lawyer

• Title Company

• Architect

• Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) Engineers

• Structural Engineer

• Landscape Architect

• Interior Designer

• LEED/Green Consultant

• Operator

• General Contractor

• Signage Contractor

• Low Voltage Contractor

• Construction Materials Testing Firm

 

Pick team members that have experience with the asset class you are developing.  You are asking for trouble if you try to use a general contractor that specializes in industrial properties to try to build a hospital.  Also, don’t just hire firms with experience in the asset class you are developing, but look at the specific experience level of the individuals you will be working with.
