I'm Chad Suitonu and I've been managing real estate development projects since 2013. I currently lead the development management of several commercial, medical and senior living projects, performing: site selection, feasibility studies, land entitlement, budget management, and design and construction oversight. I have developed over 30 ground up projects, totaling $465 million, and encompassing over 1.3 million square feet.
I started my career in the US Army where I served as an officer in the Corps of Engineers for 10 years, with multiple deployments to the Middle East. I'm a decorated war veteran, having being awarded the Bronze Star medal for my service in Afghanistan where I lead a company of 135 soldiers while constructing roads and base camps throughout the country. In 2008, I started my civilian career with a large national general contractor where I served in several roles from superintendent to project manager. Leveraging my construction background, I later transitioned to development management, working for two different mid-sized commercial real estate development companies.
In terms of education, I hold a BS in Operations Research from the United States Military Academy at West Point, an MBA from SMU, and a Masters in Public Policy & Administration from the University of Missouri St. Louis. I also earned a CCIM designation and I am a LEED Accredited Professional.
